Northwest Michigan Is a Great Place to Bird Watch

I

was lucky enough to be raised by a biology teacher dad. We often took family hikes and went bird watching. Every springĀ I can’t wait to see what birds come back to my area. I just finished a Resort and Second Home certification course and it was brought to my attention that bird watching is a really big thing! A recent study even reported that in America, bird watching is one of the most rapid growing outdoor activities now. The other day on my walk by the Betsie River lowlands, I saw a new sign posted announcing that my trailĀ has been designated an M-22 Sleeping Bear Birding Trail. Pretty exciting stuff!
