I Can Find Queen Elizabeth, King Henry and Lancelot in Fort Bayou Estates

I

may be one of the few people  who have never watched an episode of Game Of Thrones (I do have it on my intend to watch list), but I am familiar with the tales of Robin Hood, King Arthur and others. When I visit the well established community of Fort Bayou Estates, I enjoy seeing the streets named for these famous folk almost as much as the variety of properties that are on them. And variety is a good word to use for Fort Bayou Estates. You have just about anything you could look for if you’re searching for home choices. There are homes in all prices, starting under $100,000. If you would like a home on the water, you can find it here. A nice condo unit with a water view, you can find it here. A home where you can place a football field, yes, you can find it here. Ever want to live on a street named Wellington or Nottingham, you can do it here! Fort Bayou Estates is centrally located between the newly-built Ocean Springs High School and downtown Ocean Springs, so you never feel you’re too far from where you need to go. I look forward to seeing you in Fort Bayou Estates. Tally Ho!

Want to See Buffalo? And Then Eat Ice Cream? Check out Prairie City

P

rairie City is a nice little town. I’m very familiar with the area because one of my best friends used to live here. I like to take my bike out and burn some calories on the trail outside town. There are buffalo roaming the trails, so you’ll never know what you’ll see. At the end of the trail is the Prairie Learning Center which is family friendly. Of course, after burning off all those calories, I have to stop by Goldie’s for one of their famous pork tenderloin sandwiches and some ice cream. A perfect afternoon!

Let’s Go Ice Skating

‘T

is the season to enjoy all Cedar Falls has to offer for winter fun. Bundle up warm and take a trip to go ice skating. We are lucky that the Young Arena in Waterloo has indoor skating to enjoy during the week and on the weekends. We also have an outdoor skating rink at Gateway Park right in downtown Cedar Falls. Stop by the Runners Flat only a few blocks away to rent a pair of skates and go enjoy the crisp cool air as you skate around and make memories to last a lifetime!
