riffin’s Antique has been in Bunkie for as long as I can remember. It was known for antiques and stained glass windows. I was told many celebrities have come to buy items here. Now it’s a place where you will find almost anything like adorable t-shirts, aprons, cooking gadgets, furniture, and much more. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place you want to go for a cupcake, ice cream, or a slice of pie. My favorite item I have purchased from Griffin’s is a gumbo ladle. You’ll go by and visit, you can thank me later!

epublic is vibrant and growing by leaps and bounds. This community boasts a family-oriented lifestyle with more and more large corporations building new facilities which add more and more job opportunities. New restaurants, some locally owned, such as Arris Pizza or the destination restaurant, Flat Creek…but, also well-known chain establishments, with the newest coming addition being a Whataburger. Some of us Ozarkians have been waiting quite a while for a Whataburger, so there is a lot of community excitement about this one. You will find locally-owned coffee shops, such as Classic Rock Coffee or The Black Lab Coffee Company, or stop in the local Starbucks for your favorite brew. Community is important and coming up quickly is the 4th of July Celebration hosted by the city which also includes one of the very popular ’80s music bands. But, on the horizon is the large new development, The Iron Grain District Development, which will offer commercial office spaces, restaurants, and multi-family living opportunities. This new development will be located near the new Amazon Distribution Center and James River Freeway which also offers quick access to Springfield.
