ne of my favorite things about Homewood is our high school band! It typically has as many, if not more, members than the University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band! Seeing them preform is a highlight of many of Homewood’s annual events. Homecoming Parade, Christmas Parade, Christmas Concert, and numerous football games, We Love Homewood Day (yes, we dedicate a whole day each summer for this), Back to School Bash and pep rallies. The band as marched in the 2018 Macy’s Parade on Thanksgiving Day in New York City! By the way, it takes five charter buses for the band to travel. The students and directors spend hours practicing for these events and they never disappoint! If you haven’t had an opportunity to see them, you should. They’re really fantastic!
