oms, if you’re tired of hearing kid-complaining about dinner and toys and all the normal stuff, I highly recommend taking them to help serve dinner at the City Rescue Mission. What a great experience! Our kids got to serve meals, pick up trash, wipe down tables and interact with the homeless families there with us. They got to meet kids their own age who jumped at the offer of seconds of chicken, beans and salad. Everyone was so polite, thankful (they seriously clapped for the girls at least three times) and safe. There were lots of good questions afterwards and they’re already asking to go back. What a blessing!
