s I drive through the different parts of Smithtown every day, I can’t help but notice the wonderful scenery and beautiful views that abound everywhere. At the little bridge on Landing Avenue for example, one can see a different story every day. It might be kayakers navigating the river at high tide or ducks, geese and seagulls sunning themselves at the park. If you are lucky, you might even catch a few swans swimming with the tide. While England has Stonehenge and NYC has Manhattanhenge, Smithtown has Nissequoguehenge. There are a couple of times a year when the sun rises and sets perpendicular to the little bridge and over this section of the river. Truly a spectacular view!
