have lived in Buchanan for the past 21 years and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. We are a small community with a population of a little over 4,000. The atmosphere here is warm. I like being able to walk into the gas station, the grocery store, the library or the hardware store and have people recognize me and call me by name. Buchanan is an active community and, in my opinion, has much to offer to a wide variety of individuals. Enjoy wide open spaces and country living or be part of the City of Buchanan with its historical homes. Culture and the arts are alive. Attend a performance at the Tin Shop or take in a musical performance at The Common. Located close to major highways, Buchanan provides easy access to larger communities. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and a slower pace taking time to enjoy family, friends and a sense of community…a sense of belonging!
