ahlequah is a wonderful place to visit if you are a history buff like myself. The Cherokee Nation has some historical places to tour offering wonderful artifacts to see. Indian history is very rich in this community. Cherokee Nation has an Indian holiday celebrated every summer, with food, jewelry, and a pow-wow. That event is definitely a must-see. The cute little town offers so much more! Northeastern State University is located here and is a wonderful school. We have many places to eat with lots of variety. The structure of the town is lightened with beautiful wall murals throughout the community.
