Union Park Events

M

y wife and I love to attend a lot of the events put on here in Union Park. We can go and participate or just lounge around on the lawn or by the beautiful fireplace and visit with neighbors. When the temps allow, we can lounge around the pool area which feels like a 5 star resort pool complete with cabanas and just visit. Our grandson loves coming over and attending the many events with us and is looking forward to fishing with his Pop Pop at the fishing pond and riding bikes on the trails here in Union Park. So come visit our neighborhood, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Total Seaside Living with Every Convenience Only a Short Walk Away

H

arbour Cove is a fantastic place to live. We lived here for many weekends and will soon be living here year round! Somers Point is the kind of town that you see in movies, where quaint seaside houses dot the horizon and the sound of seagulls fills the air. In fact, a Hollywood Production Company once used a home on Bay Avenue in Somers Point for the “Eddie and the Cruisers” feature film of the 1980’s. The popular band who made the movie famous, visited this summer for a beach concert in downtown Somers Point! Free beach concerts every Friday summer evening are a highlight for locals and visitors as well.

As very happy residents of Somers Point, Harbor Cove South, my wife, Carol, and I have found a place we truly can call home and feel that when we are here, time almost stands still. Watching over the harbor from our decks is a calming pastime. We look forward to expanding our real estate business to this area and to live here year-round.

I Love the Annual Christmas Parade!

O

ne of my favorite memories of the holiday season while growing up in Ottawa, was the Christmas Parade. The smiling faces, the cups of hot chocolate and the loud horn of the fire truck. These are the sights and sounds that come to my mind when I think of the annual Christmas Parade.

I was always excited yet nervous when the fire trucks would go by. How cool is that big red fire truck I would say and then just about that time, the loud horn would honk. The local bands that march and play their music brought joy and smiles to the crowd. The end of the parade is always special, as Santa Clause would make his appearance. At the end of the parade, a walk down Main Street and stopping for lunch at one of the local eateries was a great end to a great time in downtown Ottawa!
