have been a resident of Baton Rouge for over a decade and can attest to the fact that it is a great place to raise a family. My family enjoys the opportunities for outdoor activities, in particular nice parks, the downtown area and LSU lakes. Being nestled between Cajun Country and New Orleans and located right off of I-10, make extended entertainment areas a hop and a skip away.
I recently worked as a Retirement Sales Counselor and had the privilege of working with many wonderful people considering Baton Rouge as their retirement destination. Many were longtime residents of the area and others were looking to locate near loved ones. Many of the same attributes that make Baton Rouge attractive to families also make it attractive to retirees. Winters are usually mild, the city has easy access to travel with its own airport and the New Orleans airport is a short drive away, and the housing market has remained strong. All in all, making Baton Rouge a great place for families and retirees alike.

arrison County is home to several large places that are lit day and night by lanterns, lamps, and ceiling lights as well as neon and specialty lighting. Although abundant in space, decor, people and fun, these buildings have no clocks displayed. Why? The object is to maximize the fun you’re having without you noticing how much time has gone by. Great marketing tool, right? Come visit; the time flies by. Still wondering what these meeting spaces are? Give one of the many beautiful casino resorts a visit. And please let me know when you find a wall clock!
