Family Friendly Choctaw

I

recently showed a property in Choctaw. What a beautiful part of Oklahoma! The countryside was gorgeous! Green fields, beautiful wildflowers blooming, and the people are all so nice. We ended up at a beautiful home that had been remodeled. They absolutely fell in love with the area. There are beautiful natural sceneries, art venues, golf courses, and great places to eat. If you have never been to Choctaw, OK, I highly recommend that you go for a visit and plan on going back time and time again.

Tranquility at It’s Finest

I

searched the world over and finally found true love. It’s called Homestead! I did not feel that relocating too far outside of a three-mile radius from Super Walmart would be in my best interest. As a Realtor with two school-aged kids, I don’t want a long drive to the office, shopping, doctors, restaurants, or schools. Every minute counts, with my lifestyle. Perhaps you can relate? However, my family and I were feeling the itch for a little more space, not just living space but also lot space. When we found our current one-acre lot, it was the best of all worlds! Homestead. This development has a minimum of half-acre lots with ponds and deer. Homestead is just on the edge of town but perfectly situated, so I do not feel I am too far out to make multiple trips daily. It features a green belt, park, and walking trails. Every home has a headwall with lights, minimum size, and the development began building in 2018 so all houses are fairly new; with exception of the original Homestead house that remains an icon of the community, which was built in 1930.

I love that I can walk around the center ponds and know that it is exactly one mile of exercise for me and my three dogs, who now enjoy a full acre lot to run on. (However, they mostly choose to run up and down the fence with the neighbor’s dog Lizzy.) At dusk, we see deer at the park enjoying the fresh grass. This was THEIR home first, so we leave them alone. My neighbors love to walk as well. Currently, we are having a Christmas light contest, so I’m keeping all neighbors at an arm’s length while I spy and compete! We also participate in bunko groups, 4th of July parades, and many more activities. It is a lot of fun.

I managed to find my dream home 2.6 miles from Super Walmart and even closer to a Walmart market. I did have to get used to the lack of street noise while I sleep, but that was not so hard. You will LOVE it here!

Include Agent Insight in Your 2022 Marketing Plan

Are you making New Year’s resolutions for your real estate marketing plan in 2022? Make sure you include Agent Insight, a quick and easy way to increase your business opportunities, increase your internet presence, and grow the RE/MAX brand in your area.

Agent Insight is provided to you by your region and allows you to present personal, conversational, and informative posts to potential and current clients. Agent Insight makes your photo, contact information, listings, and website readily available to consumers, but you also have the opportunity to post on any aspect of your community that you think will interest potential home buyers and sellers. Schools, restaurants, recreation and sports venues, local businesses, annual festivals and celebrations:  anything is a good choice for you to introduce consumers to your area.

If you are among the hundreds of agents already making submissions to Agent Insight, thank you for your participation. As discussed in our article, A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats, all agents reap the benefits through the collective work of every RE/MAX sales associate.

If you are new, welcome! You’ll find all the directions you need for making submissions on our blog, Insight Insider. Start with our Getting Started series of articles. Here are a few tips to make your learning curve a quick one:

  • Post regularly to make the most impact and keep your submissions fresh.
  • Present a balanced view of your community with a wide range of local venues and activities as your subjects.
  • Write in first person as if you are talking to clients as you drive them through town viewing properties.
  • Take a few seconds to frame your photos (and never shoot through the windshield!). Always use a landscape format.
  • Make your headlines and captions interesting because that may be all some viewers ever read. Make them count!

In 2021, we had several thousand submissions sent by agents from many states. All were appreciated and posted in Agent Insight’s neighborhood, city, county, and school pages. Many were outstanding written posts and others were beautifully composed photos with informative captions. Each month, many of the “best of the best” were added to Insight Insider’s Featured Insights section, which is a great place to look for inspiration and ideas for your own posts. Small Town Living at Its Finest

I

have been a Hickman resident for the past 17 years. I absolutely love the small-town feeling, and it is a quick 10-minute drive to South Lincoln. Hickman has grown quite a bit since I have moved here. It now has a new community center, new fire station, a Dollar General, True Value Hardware store, U-Stop Market, great shops, and restaurants. We especially love the Norris School District. Overall, it’s just a great school with amazing teachers and staff. We love the convenience of all the schools located on the same campus and a bus that stops right at our front door. Hickman is an ever-growing community especially with the new Terrace View subdivision growing to the east.
