Good Morning, Long Beach!

T

he beaches are waking up with the rise of the sun broadcasting colors you’ve never seen a painting capture. Pelicans are playfully diving for a seafood breakfast while statuesque herons wade patiently for their catch. The water could be mistaken for glass as the sun continues to rise over Long Beach on this beautiful morning. What a way to start off a day! With plenty of growth along the Coast, Long Beach has managed to retain its clear horizons and picturesque appeal. Sure, a quick drive gets you to the neighboring cities of Gulfport or Biloxi for Casino entertainment and large chain shopping but don’t overlook the rare qualities of Long Beach. This city offers residents all the necessary conveniences while holding on to its small-town Gulf Coast charm.

Iowa Team Gets Results

The Twin Power Team, headed by twin brothers Gerald and Gordie Sorensen, puts plenty of emphasis on their Agent Insight submissions. Part of the RE/MAX Home Group in Cedar Falls, IA, the team has submitted nearly 1,130 posts in the past five years. They report that they have received many leads from their Agent Insight work, as well as comments from clients about what they see on their pages.

Left to right: Gerald Sorensen, Tad Ritter, Lynette, Sorensen, Heather Nicholson and Gordie Sorensen.

It’s a family affair with the Twin Power Team. In addition to the two brothers, the rest of the team includes Gordie’s wife Lynnette Sorensen,  Gerald’s daughter Heather Nicholson, and their brother-in-law Tad Ritter.

All of the team members are life-long or long-term residents of Cedar Falls, so their knowledge of the community runs deep.

“We love the area and know everything about it,” said Gordie Sorensen. “We are active in many organizations, serve on various boards, and attend church. Our participation helps us stay current on what’s happening in the community.”

At the team’s weekly marketing meetings, Agent Insight is always on the agenda. They discuss upcoming events that would make good insights and determine which subdivisions need coverage. They also share their plans for the week’s showings and activities they will be attending where they plan to take photos.

The team’s Agent Insight coverage includes a wide variety of places  and amenities in the Cedar Falls area, including parks, lakes, hiking/biking trails, restaurants, stores, holiday decorations, architecture and landscaping, the local University of Northern Iowa, and many subdivisions and housing developments. Here are a few examples of their work:

The Cedar Falls Municipal Band performs regularly at Overman Park bandshell
Amish community members demonstrate how they make ice for the Ice House
Enjoying a beautiful autumn day at Big Woods Lake
The historic Black Hawk Hotel hosts a fun murder mystery package

“We take our marketing plan very serious, and Agent Insight truly does boost our business,” said Gerald Sorensen. “The posts are so simple to do, and it has been effective for us.” The Twin Power Team plans to continue submitting photos and written insights several times every month, investing their time into this proven marketing tool.

Something for Everyone at Turkey Brook Park in Budd Lake

W

hether you are looking for a place to let your kids or dogs run, looking for a nice hike, or even if you are curious history buff looking for something interesting, Turkey Brook literally has something for all of you. It’s worth taking a visit to one of the finest parks in New Jersey. This 267-acre park not only has a fun playground for the kids called Mt Playmore, it even has its own little waterpark called Pirate’s Cove for the warmer times of the year. With six grass soccer fields, one Astroturf field, four baseball fields, a well-lit football and practice football field, tennis courts, two volley courts, two basketball courts, there is plenty of space for recreational sports for any athlete’s need and interest level. Historians not only can enjoy the classic Seward’s Mansion, the former home of Henry Seward and his son, they can also enjoy the beautiful tribute to our veterans known as All Veteran’s Memorial. Hikers can take a nice hike throughout this 267-acre park, and even journey over to the peaceful Maier’s Pond for a tranquil break.

The Skatin Station of Plymouth Has It All

W

ell, I just attend my goddaughter’s birthday party at Skatin Station and wow, I had more fun than the kids. I brought my roller blades that I haven’t used in 10 years, and I kept falling. I don’t think they fit right or that is what I told myself. The rental shop was open so I went “old school” with some roller skates and after a few minutes my skate legs came back. They fit, so I was skating and dancing around the kids like I was a teenager again. You can learn to skate, host parties, come for open skate, visit the Pro Shop, play arcade games, and more. Fun for all ages.

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo Is Great!

W

hat a great thing to have within minutes of almost everything! Located on County Road 6 in Gulf Shores, this new zoo is 25 acres full of great things to see! It’s totally worth getting a season pass so that you can swing by any time you would like. My family has a family season pass and we stop in whenever we have a chance. If you plan to go just twice in a year then the season pass pays for itself. It seems like each time we catch something else going on or different animals. My son’s favorite are the sloths! You can pay a little extra to have different animal encounters and literally get in the habitat with the sloths or kangaroos to name a couple. They even have beehives and sell fresh honey! Definitely worth checking out! They are always looking for donations so if you have a heart for animals maybe this would be a cause you would like to support.
