he Bay known as “The Narrows” is the entrance of New York where ships have brought immigrants and cargo to America for centuries. It passes under the Varrazano Bridge and Lady Liberty into New York Bay. At the Ridge along “Ridge Boulevard”, I can imagine the views of the mansions from the late 1800s and the turn of the next century. The hills of Shore Road where I was born rolled down to the water where the beach, fishing, and resorts were replaced with the Belt Parkway. Once a summer resort for rich New Yorkers, Bay Ridge is still a wonderful, safe, and special place to live in New York City.
