recently visited the National WWII Museum’s “Boeing Center” in downtown New Orleans while on a field trip with my son’s 4th grade class. What an incredible time we had seeing the actual airplanes that were in WWII. These bombers and fighter jets, including “My Gal Sal”, are suspended from the ceiling. Get an up close and personal look of them from the “sky walk” on the 4th floor (if you’re not afraid of heights!). You won’t want to miss the 4-D movie “Beyond All Boundaries” narrated by Tom Hanks. Your theater seat will shake during this movie experience. Whether a resident or a visitor of New Orleans, this museum will help you appreciate all the veterans and active duty men and women that serve our great country in the armed services.
